The notthatbalai Arts Festival is back for its second installment! First held last year, the festival fuses different art forms together, with an emphasis placed on experimental modes of art rather than artistic value.

This years festival has a slight change in strategy - the implementation of the theme Kuasa Tinggi for the visual art exhibition, open invitation and selection. The five-day festival promises the same multiracial blend of artists performing, from both local artists and artists from neighbouring countries.

There's so much in store for this years festival. You can expect screenings of short films like "The Worlds Most Helpful Malaysian Polis" by Sven Tang Chee Lok and "The Road Not Taken" by Herman Ishak, just two out of the more than 30 films to be featured. Look out for the musical talents of among others, Jerome Kugan, Lisa Zahran, Francis Wolf and Fallen Leaves. There will be also be dance performances like 'Decay' by Dua Space, and 'The Present of Absent' by Nyoba & Dancers.

The organisers strongly urge the audience to discuss the works presented with the artists themselves which hopefully will generate some raging hot debates. After all, it's only through constructive discussion that we can better understand and appreciate each other.

Organised by Lost Generation Space, this multiethnic group of enthusiastic artists aim to provide a space for artists with innovative and creative ideas to meet and grow.

Check out their website for the full list of events for the whole festival.
