Gubra, Placebo & APM 2006

Singapura menjanjikan sesuatu yang istimewa untuk aku bulan ini. Bermula dengan penayangan filem Gubra arahan Yasmin Ahmad di pawagam Golden Village esok, persembahan Placebo di MTV Fashionably Loud 2006 23 Mac dan disusuli keesokan harinya Anugerah Planet Muzik yang akan menampilkan Gigi, Peterpan, Rossa, Ratu dll. Jadi sesiapa yang ada masa marilah berkunjung ke 'Uniquely Singapore'.

Gubra [Anxiety] tells a story of love and forgiveness, its possibilities and the hopes it brings. Essentially there are two stories, which parallel each other; the first is the continuation of Orked’s (Sepet’s protagonist) life while the second tells the story of a muezzin; Pak Bilal Li and his efforts to assist two prostitutes in finding redemption for themselves and their families.

Mix a style packed catwalk extravaganza with electrifying live band performances and you’ve got the essence of MTV Fashionably Loud, the perfect match of music and fashion.

Held together with the Singapore Fashion Festival, MTV Fashionably Loud 2006 will open Asia’s largest style event with a fashion show meets rock concert and then, an edited down version of the event broadcast across the Asia Pacific.

U.K. band Placebo will be rocking at MTV Fashionably Loud. Since they arrived on the scene with their androgynous shock-chic of their 1994 debut, they've evolved constantly and have experimented with electronics, hip hop and disco beats, and a more direct brooding rock blueprint. Now they’re coming for you at MTV Fashionably Loud!
