A non-political group of people from the arts community united in the belief that questions must always be asked

WE BELIEVE
That it is time for the arts community to come together again to take a more concerted, pro-active role in developing a more open society for our country, without fear or favour

VIA
performances, publications, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, ad campaigns, and other events

TO PROMOTE
freedom of expression and association for people in the arts community

TO ENCOURAGE
the free flow of ideas and information

TO ALLOW
only the immediate audience to make the judgement call of approving or disapproving the work of an artist/artists and

TO RECOGNISE
that members of the Malaysian public have the intelligence to make up their own minds and should be encouraged to do so

The Right To Ask Questions.
The Right To Seek Answers.

In recent weeks, artis.pro.activ (APA) has been very concerned with the diminishing freedom of expression, freedom to question and freedom of association.

On October 27th, APA launches APA APA, an arts festival with a theme that revolves around the right to ask questions, and the right to seek answers.

As artists, and art appreciators, we want to come together in a sense of fellowship through this associoation and event.

It is a step towards building a sense of community among likeminded people who value the artistic vision and the spirit of innovation.

In addition to that, we feel that it will be most advantageous to our wellbeing as artists and innovators to express ourselves collectively through artistic/creative intervention on issues we are concerned about.
