"STOP MISUSE OF POLICE POWERS" / "HENTIKAN SALAHGUNA POLIS"

The Coalition Against Police Misconduct will be having a mass assembly to protest the numerous incidentsinvolving the misuse of police powers especially involving the deaths of suspects while in police custody and by police shooting, abuse of remand procedure, dispersal of peaceful assemblies and prevention of distribution of leaflets. The situation is worsened by the absence of justice to victims of police brutality and all complaints have not had satisfactory response in terms of independent and transparent investigations, disciplinary action or prosecution of the offending police personnel.

Therefore we are calling all to attend the assembly to provide support and thereby send a strong message that
the police will not be allowed to act they please, and all forms of abuse of police powers must be stopped immediately.
